Collections
has spent more than a decade amassing over half a million images, by about
220 photographers, of the landscapes, cities, towns, villages, buildings,
people, customs and traditions of the beautiful and astonishingly varied
British Isles. Our aim is to have everywhere though we do realise we might
not achieve it - any more than we expect to put on line all we have already!
Still, the whole point of Collections, apart from our stupendous pictures,
is the depth of our coverage. Who knows how many we will end up with on-line
but we are putting them on as fast as we can. In the meantime the whole
analogue library, including the scanned images, is still at your disposal.
We can search the files to your specific requirements, then e-mail the
results - or send you pictures in the form of good old transparencies
or black & white prints if you prefer them that way...
We have always been particular about matching images to clients. We do
it every day. But it is simply not feasible to scan several versions of
the same subject to satisfy the needs of broadsheet and tabloid papers,
glossy and popular magazines, educational books, trendy designers, travel
companies, government departments and so on, in all seasons, both upright
and horizontal.
If you do not see exactly what you want on-line the chances are nevertheless
good that we have the picture tucked away in the library. What you see
here is but a tiny (but increasing daily) percentage of Collections.
Please feel free to get in touch for an assisted search.
