HMS Monmouth (F235), Type 23 Royal Navy frigate, Devonport, Plymouth, Devon. Launched 1991 and known as ‘The Black Duke’, it is the only Royal Navy ship that has its name painted in black and flies a plain black flag in addition to the ensign.
