Mausoleum of the explorer and Orientalist Sir Richard Burton (1821-1890) and his wife Isabel; the tomb is made in the shape of an Arab tent, and in Mortlake cemetery, London. Burton also translated the ‘1,001 Arabian Nights’. Once open, the entrance was closed up in the 1950s. Photograph 1986
