Iron grave-markers in the churchyard of St Michael’s church, Fringford, Oxfordshire. Flora Thompson (1876-1947), born Flora Timms, worked in the village Post Office. She later wrote her slightly fictionalised autobiography ‘Lark Rise to Candleford’, calling the village Candleford Green
