Kelso Bridge, over the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders, was built by John Rennie in 1803 (Rennie re-cycled the design on a larger scale for his Waterloo Bridge in London in 1817 - but that was replaced in the 1940s)

Photographer: Brian Shuel
